In speaking with patients over the past few years, it has become apparent the vast interest that exists in the care of one's skin. Most women realize the effect that hormones play in the maintenance of and, at times, the adverse affect over healthy complexions. Estrogen and progesterone can cause acne. Low estrogen (i.e. post menopausal levels) will cause drying. In an effort to correct hormonal imbalances, I commonly will utilize different hormonal preparations to correct these problems. However, there are many times this is not the sole source of the problem. In studying this issue, it has come to my attention that there does exist varying preparations which are exceptionally capable of correcting these conditions.
